PCSO-524\u00ae contains a unique combination of free fatty acids, sterol esters, polar lipids, and carotenoids, and has been shown to be a 5-lipoxygenase (LOX) and cyclooxygenase (COX-2) modulator providing a potent anti-inflammatory effect.<\/p>\n

The stabilisation process and freeze drying of the mussels is conducted by Pharmalink International (PIL) shareholder and manufacturing partner MacLab and the extraction is completed in a state of the art facility owned by Pharmalink Extracts Limited. Antinol\u00ae clinical research \u2013\u00a0Osteoarthritis<\/h2>\n

There have been several clinical trials\u00a0looking at efficacy in canine osteoarthritis of\u00a0the hip, stifle, and shoulder joints, as well as\u00a0its effect in the post-surgical treatment of\u00a0animals undergoing joint surgery. Human clinical research \u2013 Osteoarthritis<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

There are seven human clinical trials that have been conducted in osteoarthritis\u00a0using PCSO-524\u00ae or a pre-cursor Green-Lipped Mussel extract (GLMe), with a combined total of\u00a0368 OA patients. The trials are all slightly different in design and cover mild to severe OA.<\/p>\n

However, the key areas of investigation across the studies support a reduction of pain and\u00a0an increase in function with PCSO-524\u00ae supplementation.<\/p>\n
